....Strobeless fashion

I believe it was the first professional photo shoot of now famous international model Arlenis Sosa, done in our native Dominican Republic. I told her: "run and jump at this spot and hurry before we loose the light". Before I had my camera in position, she had jumped twice already; didn't think, just went for it and it turned out to be one of my favorite strobeless fashion images... "Raw sessions" I call it. A willing model, the right lines and shadows, a quick decision, and all my focus on my viewfinder. Nothing else. Maybe that's why I often find myself with just my tripod and camera when I shoot. The bulky lighting equipment heating up in the car's trunk. I feel more intimate with my subjects. Less distractions. That helps me in the never ending search for my true art form.
